N2S-2/3/4 Yellow Peril History:
The N2S is a biplane used to train carrier pilots at the start of World War II and was nicknamed "Yellow Peril" since it has a brightly colored paint job intended to alert everyone around that a novice pilot was flying it and because the plane itself has poorly designed gear which gave it a tendency to "ground loop." After world War II, the remaining stock of N2S's were transferred to the Naval Academy, remaining in service until 1960. This model has measurements of: Span: 17 5/8" Len: 12 1/4" and Scale: 1/24
